Transtioning from work to retirement can be hard. I am in the middle of that process, which in my case is a very long process!
I am not doing it the usual way, nor, as it turns out, am I doing it correctly. I have left my home country and cannot currently afford to retire completely. Am I happy? Yes and no. Do I regret my choice to leave the UK, absolutely not. I think I have found a path forward that will end well.
Through my trials and tribulations I have gained some insight into better ways of approaching what is without doubt one of the biggest transitions in our lives. I want to share those thoughts with the world and hopefully start some interesting discussions along the way.
